We meet on the second Thursday of each month but this can be subject to change now and again. We start at 10.00am, sing for an hour or so then have coffee/tea, cookies and chat so it is also a social occasion. We meet at my home. We sing songs which most people know so there is no need to be able to read music.
We have a range of well known songs from musicals, pop, WW1 and so on.
We have one or two spaces in the group. The size is limited by the size of my room. We sometimes entertain groups who might ask us which we always enjoy.
Everyone seems to enjoy themselves as we are a friendly group. It is a tonic and great fun singing together.

Our singing at both MENCAP and Wayfarers are always great fun which we do probably once a ‘term’. The groups always join in which is really rewarding and choose songs they know, this is particularly true at Christmas with the 12 days of Christmas and everyone doing the actions. Also the same thing when we sing ‘ He’s got the whole world in his hands’ and ‘you do the Okey Pokey’ . The other spin off is when we are recognised perhaps in the market and greetings are exchanged.
Also this year we went to Shropshire Respite Centre where again everyone joined in the carols. So our ‘public ‘ appearances are very rewarding and fun. what more can you want?
